Stop if you two, didn't you read what he said about speculation and all that! On his request for input, scares me that comment - do you think they need help because they are clueless! With PS, the Fab Four and c4000 supporters we may get a decision of the new manger before the transfer window closes........... In January 2017.

I Find it Amusing that Charlton Athletic sack their Manager Apparently the decision to do this. was very recent Yet they have found the time to Announce the replacement today. This opitimises the difference in Proffesionism between the Clubs, CAFC obviously had a contingency plan to fall back on

This opitimises the difference in Proffesionism between the Clubs, CAFC obviously had a contingency plan to fall back on Apparently CAFC have a link with the Belgian club he was managing. As for Justin Edinburgh it seems difficult to believe he would leave a club where all is going well to join a club that sacks their managers very quickly over the last few years

I think also they did actually sack him and I would have thought that they had a replacement in mind before doing this. Peter Taylor was sacked unexpectedly and as PS said he had no intention of disposing of Peter Taylors services therefore probably got caught on the hop.

Interesting that Justin Edinburgh is saying that he has had no chats with GILLINGHAM but Beatie is saying he has applied of the job and is waiting to hear.

Difference is that Beattie is an out of work manager. Edinburgh would need to deny rumours as he has a contract. I'm sure there will plenty of out of work managers like Beattie, Yates, maybe even Paul Jewell, who have applied.

The letter seems fair enough but in Scally shoes I'd be embarrassed to admit I'd made such a rash decision. Maybe Taylor deserved to be sacked and it was ultimately the right decision but to do so on a whim and without a clue as to where and when the replacement would come was irresponsible IMO.
I quite often need to move staff on, but I never leave the business barely able to function while replacements are sought.

I liked the sound of Edinburgh when I heard his name last week but I looked on the Newport message board and there was no rumblings of unrest! It must be better for him to travel between 40 mins to a hour for work than his current 3 hour slog to Newport! I also thought it might be a employed manager who takes a few of his decent players with him!
