The gang of 4 have got more out of jermaine in the last two games than peter taylor did throughout his time here, doesn't that tell you plenty about how defensive we were under peter and playing on the front foot is our best form of defence with the current crop of players, hopefully jermaine will be playing from the start of each match sooner rather than later, I believe his is starting to show some good form at a time when need a new dimension and with pace it always gives defenders problems, long may it continue for gillinghams benefit.

No, as said on the other thread, fab for 20mins under certain circumstances. I wouldnt play him away from home at all and to get a start he needs to keep that work rate up for 90 min and he doesn't.
Great to watch though

Totally agree. His role is as an impact sub and he's done a great job over the last two games

Certainly not a player to start but good at revitalising the game when he is bought on.

Agree with the away games, his defending is awful and to much of a luxury away. Would leave the fab4 to play him as they are ATM, some confidence is what the lad needs and then hopefully may see him playing longer.

Strange player really, sometime shows signs of genius and then plays with no intelligence at all. Rather greedy with the ball and wish he would stop the fancy footwork he is not clever enough for that.

Our last few wide players have been similar, great one minute and very poor the next. Last decent and reasonably consistent winger we had was barcham.

Isn't that the nature of the wide player? All those fancy tricks either work and hrlooks like a star or they don't.
And the running at players, can look impressive for 20 mins, until the defender gets the measure of them. Sometimes the defender has them sussed from the beginning and the winger has a terrible game, when actually, it's that the defender had a good game.

Agree to a certain extent, but good wide players can also defend a little and if they are half decent will cause problems throughout a game.
