I still feel there is a place for Norris next season. Not so long ago we looked like we were going down now we look safe. i am delighted that we now look safe for next year. No doubt there wil be changes made for next season but we need to give JE the chance to assess all the players before these decisions are made. Rubbishing the Manager and team is not helpful at this stage. I did not expect us to go up although a little dreaming on occasions was pleasant. Not sure where Nelson fits into these plans but we do need two GKs.

3000 young fans from local schools, how many will return again paying full price I wonder ? My friend took his 2 sons yesterday and they both said they won't come back because the quality of football was poor. Gillingham will need to throw in a few games free to convince our young fans because it they don't, their heads will be turned by the bigger sides in London.
Nelson and cody back in versus orient please. No more experimenting now, you know who is leaving the gills at end of season.

We seem to be going back to how we were earlier in the season.
There is an inability to pass the ball to someone wearing the same colour shirt and I think that Loft was one of the worst offenders.
I agree that Bell was man of the match and, for a full back, he was better than most of the wingers we have seen down here.

Norris I still think deserves a chance and anyway as contracted will be with us next season. Marquis was poor yesterday as has Cody been the last few games, but you cannot blame any of them as the service to them is dreadful and always gives the advantage to the defenders. We need to get midfield right and the service into them needs to improve dramatically and then I think we will see all three are good enough for us and div1 in general. Let's park this game and onwards to orient where we need to get a result or be drawn back into a relegation battle. COYG c

I am thinking of going to the Orient game but if Edinburgh starts Norris alongside either marquis or cody , we are in trouble. Cody needs to play with marquis...Full stop. Our 2 best strikers need to finish the season together regardless now. I knew long ago Norris was not going to make the grade as a league 1 striker, shame it's taken this long to realise the obvious, Wholesale changes....the sooner the better. Brennan Dickenson Jake Hessenthaler josh pritchard gavin hoyte danny galbraith luke Norris I know all gills fans are hurting from this defeat and not playing Cody from the start was criminal. Edinburgh needs to buck his ideas up now. No more playing Norris and dickenson and any more tickering please. Enough is enough. OK so you have just spent a least a full years wage money getting rid of Dickenson,Pritchard and Norris and about 3 years for Jake.Thats 10%-20% of your budget spent already what's the next bright idea from Swansgills the man who should have got the job of managing GFC? You are others are hurting because it was little Fleetwood. No doubt you have to put up with the odd comment at work or something. We know we need a player or two JE is working towards next season if playing Norris and Morris now makes matters easier in the summer then he has to do it.Same side that won at Crawley.Cody,Marquis and Dack did no better than the likes of Norris on the day.We will lose sometimes you and others need to realize that.Bad days at the office happen. We could have had Harry Kane out there at the weekend it was largely the crosses that were poor.It could be said that in fact Jake Hess is the one who most often puts in a good cross.I would like to see him back in the side for Orient.

The main problem on Saturday appeared to be that a very determined and physically powerful group of Fleetwood players, somewhat aided and abetted by a ref who seemed happy to ignore shirt pulling and other nefarious activites, were playing against a Gills team who did not have the same physical attributes or attitude to confront them. I except the back four from this criticism. They are all good players (including Hoyte Swansgill) so the problem must be in midfield which lacks an enforcer and a front two who are both lacking form AND A REASONABLE SERVICE at the moment at home. I was not surprised to see Egan substituted as he looked tired and appears to be suffering from a long hard season in which he has been the mainstay of the defence. Let's hope our improved away form makes up for this setback on Monday.

Why doesn't one of those tame reporters for Radio Kent have the balls to ask JE what the hell he is doing by constantly picking Norris to start ? I have seen nothing from Norris to suggest he will ever be a League One striker. He can't hold the ball up, he rarely wins headers, and he's slow in deed and thought. How many times does he get robbed in possession while he's deciding what to do ? It's infuriating. He's had plenty of chances to show what he can do, and the answer is obvious - sod all !
