It is fair to stay it was not a great game. But I am sure JED learned a fair bit from it. Garmston improved as the game went on. Oshilaja showed some great touches that should be enough to get a start again next week. Ryan Jackson once again showed what a good player he is it's the midfield that still worries me most. Unlike against Brighton without Houghton Gills struggled to find the killer pass. On top of that we appear to have as many as 3 of our best midfielders struggling to be fit for the 1st game. Up front Norris playing up front alone with donnelly in support out wide did have a few good touches but should have shown more. In goal the fact that Nelson played a full game against Brighton and the second half today points to him starting next week. Cody's return can't come quick enough but the performance today may have seen him struggling to score. Clearly the players put a lot into Wednesday's game and maybe a extra days rest would have made a difference. I believe we will see a far more compleat performance in a few weeks when the team have a few more games behind them. The fact is if we are going to move the ball quicker is is easier to miss with a more difficult pass and that is generally what went wrong today.
