Obviously we all hope that he can achieve his dream of us going onwards and upwards. If he really means what he says then strengthening the team to ensure we get promotion and NOT selling Bradley in this window and neither in the summer, if we go up, would go a long way to convincing fans that he means what he says.

With our budget not sure if anything left to strengthen the squad without selling an asset. Perhaps the thinking is if we sell at a good price then we have substantial funds to strengthen across the park for a promotion push.

We don't know what our budget is though,do we? Sometimes you have to take a chance that a player or two you sign will be good enough for the higher division, but that does come at a risk as some clubs have found out to their cost. Guess we have to trust the chairman and manager to get it right if they decide to go that route.

I guess it maybe that Scally held back on the budget.Given last season manager change cost money he may have feared that he would have to change, held back on a percentage of the budget. If that is the case add on the wages freed up by the departure of Davies,Houghton and Oshilaja.Should mean we are well place to bring in a couple of players on loan or permanently.I do not expect the same numbers in as have left given the managers comment's about giving List and Osadebe a chance. There could even be another departure yet,I would still expect the minimum number of arrivals and to go for a bit of quality.

If the exam question is 'will he deliver on the new stadium' ?
The answer needs to consider; 1) Is the club - including the GFC holding company carrying any debt (not attractive to any investor)- it is by the way (according to the latest published set of accounts) 2) Turnover - we're having a good season, but are the crowds flocking back ? 3) How motivated are the owners to sell, especially if they are generating a good annual income for themselves (£200k) ?
I may be very pleasantly surprised, but I think the answer is 'No' as the answer to each of those three questions is not favourable. On that basis, I also don't expect much investment in the squad either. Depressing really, but that's it. If tiny Ebbsfleet can find an overseas investor very easily, why can't we ?

Can't see it myself, but that's OK as I have no ambitions whatsoever to support a Premiership club. Would kill it for me.

Unless we find an investor it ain't gonna happen.
