This really does not surprise me. I would have liked Reilly to have an extended deal still possible of course.

Well now on the OS and shows how tight finances will be next season with I’m guessing wagstaff and Martin going and being the biggest earners. If a few don’t resign then a lot of new signings will be required with really only 7 first teamers under contract. What? How does Martin and Waggstaff leaving show that finances are tight? Yes, they were most likely the highest earners, but money alone isn’t the only reason managers release players. Martin has missed more than a few games and this season due to suspensions, and he isn’t good enough for Lovell to ignore that when deciding who to offer contracts to. Waggy is good, sometimes, but average most of the time and has been out injured too often, and again he isn’t good enough for Lovell to risk offering him the money that he’d want to stay. Morris hasn’t played all season, so won’t be missed, Hessy was never more than average, and preferred passing the ball backwards and sideways rather than trying to create things moving forwards. The others on the list have hardly played at all, and were most likely not on huge deals.

Lovell has made no secret of saying he wanted a goal poacher they do not come cheap .Our current midfield never worked .So heads had to roll .But surprised both Waggy and Martin went .But if we want at least one too quality midfielder in a central area and two in a wide areas plus that goal getter that will not come cheap .The fact that some of those players will need to be experienced puts the price up .There will of course be more than four holes to fill but those will be the main targets unless anyone turns down a deal .The team have proved on a few occasions we need more leadership that can now be addressed .

Perhaps I didn’t make myself clear, I like what his done with the exception of garmston who I think is a big risk unless 1 yr deal on reduced sum due to his injuries. Wagstaff had to go due to injuries and Martin had issues recently. These leaving will hopefully put the most back into the pot. I may be in a minority but feel nuggent is good enough for cover. SL has his work cut out keeping the likes of Byrne and zukhani as they may well get better offers as they are good enough.

Nugent staying as cover may make some sense given the shortage of good centre backs i feel Zak is a important signing .

I feel Nugent is better than cover, he should be starting every game. Has Lacey been retained?

And if he stays if, Lacey is several leagues above Nugent in terms of class. He can actually pass a ball for a start. I’m hoping we see more of him next year

It is with more than a little sadness that I note the departure of Jake Hess.think he deserves a thank you for his service and effort to/for the Club. think he can be classed as a "regular" this past 4/5 years turning in an effort and hard working performance on a regular bassis, who can forget his goal against the sky blues in his debut season 2013/14 from just inside the halfway line? Must admit that if we are to progress Jake is probably not an ideal midfielder but this does not detract from a genuine thank you Jake and good luck for the future.

Problem was, he was always living in the shadow of his dad and we expected that of him. Hope he does well at a future club and not have those expectations on him.

Muppet you have a serious illness at work which results in you having 12 months or so off and then your boss says sorry muppet we are having to reduce your wages as you've been off sick especially if they aren't that great to begin with. Tell me when Wagstaffe has been recently injured his Stats in running terms have been higher than anyone else on the pitch for the past 10 games hes run harder and further than anyone

That’s football evo and why they have term contracts. At the end of that contract if you don’t like the new terms you have the right to go elsewhere.
