I while heartedly agree with DC .But I believe that Jake is more than ready to stand on his own two feet .The move will I believe make a man and a better player out of him .I can see him doing very well slightly lower down .I would recommend him to any league two club .The move could also bring out his leadership qualities that I saw a bit of while in the youth team .

Maybe Jake could resurrect his career alongside Hess Snr at Conference outfit Eastleigh

Maybe Jake could resurrect his career alongside Hess Snr at Conference outfit Eastleigh I think he’s better than that, but wouldn’t surprise me. I do think he’d gone stale at gills, but he’s a decent footballer more than capable of playing league one

Hopefully a Southend or Wimbledon will come in so he can play there

I never really rated Hess, he almost always looks like a rabbit caught in headlights whenever he got the ball, and would get rid of it as soon as possible, normally backwards more often than not.
But, he did put a shift in, and never shirked his defensive duties.
Maybe he has been at the Gills too long, and perhaps moving out of his comfort zone, and possibly down a level might be what he needs.

Perhaps I didn’t make myself clear, I like what his done with the exception of garmston who I think is a big risk unless 1 yr deal on reduced sum due to his injuries. Wagstaff had to go due to injuries and Martin had issues recently. These leaving will hopefully put the most back into the pot. I may be in a minority but feel nuggent is good enough for cover. SL has his work cut out keeping the likes of Byrne and zukhani as they may well get better offers as they are good enough. I love you guys who make up employment law .. so let me get this straight .. Muppet you have a serious illness at work which results in you having 12 months or so off and then your boss says sorry muppet we are having to reduce your wages as you've been off sick especially if they aren't that great to begin with. Tell me when Wagstaffe has been recently injured his Stats in running terms have been higher than anyone else on the pitch for the past 10 games hes run harder and further than anyone Evo, can you explain yourself re the above, I don't know what you're talking about.
