Donut, have you seen the ME7 podcast with comper? He says we had a list of 30/40 PLAYERS gfc were interested in. That list was narrowed down to just five players they wanted to speak to. I wonder How many of those 5 players are no longer available due to being signed by other clubs before we even get to speak to them. usual draging of feet by the old guard who should have gone as well at the end of this season will inevitably cost us again, unbelievable incompetence!

All this negativity and the new manager has only just completed 1 week in charge. For goodness sake, give the man a break. He may well surprise us.
I haven’t seen 1 signing yet in Div 2 that makes me think we’ve missed out on anyone special yet.

No-one has voiced the slightest criticism of Bonner - it's our so-called recruitment team that's being called out. Today Oxford Utd are back in the second tier. Like us they are the only league club their county, the city's population is half that of Medway yet their average crowd is 9000. They have built a team while we have assembled a rag bag of players without pace, creativity or strike power.
We sack managers but retain an unholy trio whose track record is simply abysmal. The somnambulists must go.

Totally agree, according to Mr bonner the team is almost complete except for a bit of tweaking her and there and that a lot of money is going to be spent on a upcoming project in the ground! But NO new stand!! He also said he's in charge of hiring and firing. We'll come on then, you want us to believe in you, make us believe in you!🙏🙏

The thread was about the retainer list, Bonner said he would be talking it through with the gang of three and make their decision together.
Bonner said he will be working with them in selecting any new players and no new signings will be without his approval. That’s why criticism of any new signings is a bit premature. As I said he’s only been in the position for a few days. The continuing lambasting of the gang of three is pointless. Although I agree that so far as Summerwell said, their record is abysmal. Although I think they would disagree and say it was how the players were managed. The players certainly performed in the first six months of Brads tenure.. That’s why Brad has changed the format of selecting new signings. Only time will tell.

Brad is reliant on Jackett to help him with contacts in the game it seems.
The problem is Kenny is yesterday news just like Hessy. The signings in January transfer window told us that KJ is not up to the job.
Bonner talks well in the press but only time will tell if he is really up to the challenge.
Instinctively, I think he is just a smarter and more engaging version of a yes man.
Jackett and Hess staying beyond last season is a utter joke. Their abject failure to attract the quality needed is due to their dinosaur reputations.
To mount a promotion push we need real ambition with dynamic people at the heart of the club.
Unfortunately, Scally, Jackett, Hess and Comper do not really look like the real deal.
I have never been wrong about manager's and soon enough we will see how it goes with Bonner.

Pretty much feel the same, they seem to be out of there depths but just keep going though the same old motions and being payed good money to do a crap job!

Every new manager that comes in to a club believes that he can work wonders with the team the previous manager failed with, unfortunately it doesn't very often happen. I have said it before , just because you make millions selling and building property doesn't mean your good at running a football team. I hope between now and the begging of the season we will see several signings that are going to make the Gills a much better team, and that will get the fans pumped up and excite for the start of the season . If we put out the same players with just one or two additions as we did last year and expect a different result than last seasons, then I think that is the definition of complete madness.

You’ve called for every single manager we’ve ever had to go and then claim you’re a genius when they eventually move on. Spoiler, the average tenure for any manager is just over a year.

Yes, but let's be honest Swans is somewhat reliable! I'm also going to therefore predict that eventually Gillingham FC and Mark Bonner will part ways. I'm pretty sure I'll be 100% accurate.
