Dear Mr.and Mrs. Galinson , the reason that teams are good is because they have what in the old days before you had ever heard of REAL Football as in what Americans call soccer ,is because if your team scores more goals than the other team, then you win. I understand that the backroom staff you have in the likes of Mr Jacket and Mr.Hessy are really nice guys, but there what we call old school, looking to keep there 100,000 pound a year jobs, and they will say anything you want to hear. Mr.and Mrs. Galinson, if you really want Gillinghan FC YOUR ENGLISH FOOTBALL TEAM to be successful you have to SPEND MONEY, lots and lots of money. I played golf this past week in your home State of Florida (Miami area) with some players from a couple of divisions above GFC's who were on vacation and the nicest thing they said was THEY NEED TO BUY PLAYERS, you don'y win with FREEBEES. Yes I know you have a budget and everything else, well I tell you what,at Christmas decide your going to give the fans a present,a winning team with players that want to get out of the 4th division ,(we used to call it that before it upset the players who cried because they were only 4th division players calling them 2nd Division makes them sound so much better,) SPEND SOME MONEY and get us promoted for God sake.

Theres no doubt about it, Bonner does sound just like Matt Walker at Kent CCC before he realised hes been found out and left of course. He points out what we can all see but wont or cant do anything about, so he and he hopes we will accept second best and still keep coming. That's why I dont believe Bonner is the right man, we d have seen it by now and we haven't. I'm not saying go now but the name calling now coming means hes not taking responsibility, just like the last 2. If they re all right then at least 5 have to go in January and 5 in. Another rush job which probably wont work. Think we re still seen as a joke and people must come for an easy ride. That opinion will remain until I see the players committed and winning. It's clear the senior ones are not accepting any philosophy and are prepared to be abused by supporters for it..the answer being they re being paid bread and honey already so they can wing it. Why wouldnt they...they ve already seen how easy it is to get rid of their manager, twice now, so why should it not happen again while they ride out their contracts. There is some funny goings on behind the scenes and we cant see who's at fault..not enough info. I suspect Williams, Lapslie maybe Hutton plus any new ones that have jumped on the bandwagon. The others are probably quiet and passive .which leads to more of the same. Some stirrer has got to be made to train with the youngsters and keep quiet. Maybe the injured ones have a better attitude...I dont know.

So we needed a box to box midfielder, we got Little tick. We needed two wingers, Nolan and Rowe tick We needed a striker that’s scored goals at this level, Nevitt and two more strikers. We have five strikers now. Tick We have one of the biggest squads in the league. Spend some cash comments are pathetic.

Donut, I don’t know where you’re going with this ‘Bonnor out crusade’.
We can’t just keep changing managers at gay abandon.
Bonnors, correct, shape up, or your not for me attitude. These players are letting him down, not the other way round. Those mistakes on Saturday were costly and he can’t legislate for them.
He’s proved he can get a team out of this division, so I don’t understand your campaign in getting him out.

Lenny, would you like to give me the total number of goals scored this season by the five players you identify as our strikers.

I pointed out when Harris was sacked that something like 2 sides in the last 20 years got promoted from league two when they changed manager mid season. To even contemplate Bonner's future when he was a genius just over a week ago is frankly f***ing nuts. We should only be considering sacking a manager mid season if it's going really badly wrong. The Harris decision was a massive mistake. Removing Bonner would be comedy and frankly, I'd be asking for the Galinsons to step aside if they made such a ridiculous decision.

There are a number of concerned GF. Look at the exchange between I think Hess and SW or someone and SW. Somethings wrong.
The people we have up front are not doing it..why? None of us are Bonner out but I can usually see things early, sacking Harris wasnt a mistake, the mistake was signing the wrong bloke to succeed him. Lindsay, they had the chance and mucked it up. So sacking a bloke now wouldnt be a mistake, the mistake would be what you did next...I believe after Harris, that was Brad's mistake, something the lovely Scally may gave been right about. If You, I and Bonner himself doesnt want out, then he has to pick it up, that's his job, if he cant, then he must get rid of those he feels are the problem, and not keep talking about it..if it doesnt work then hes out, simple.

Hi again Lenny...I'll help you out with that total - it's a whopping 3 goals between the 5 I think you're referring to. So , far from being pathetic, when you consider all the financial benefits of promotion, the notion of investing in a better squad seems rather sensible. It's not without risk I grant you but in football that comes with the territory.

Sorry Lenny and SW, not Hess, I'm getting confused. SW is pointing out to Lenny why his tick box us suspect. You can follow it but I have a little different view, I think these players are capable with the right management, with the right players around them doing what they need them to do. It's not happening, is it the soft underbelly? Or is it the underbelly who's in charge who's at fault, like the last 2? Whatever it is it has to be worked out and ruddy quick or we can write another season off.

Nolan/Nevitt scored 35 goals between them last season. Is that not investing??? Just a reminder we are 5th in the league not bottom.

It's not without risk I grant you but in football that comes with the territory. This isn’t about money, it might be about signing poorly. Hawkins was signed on a long deal on a reported 5k a week. Been rubbish. Lapslie, ditto. Johnny Williams we signed on a 3 year deal and outbid Bradford. Not played a good game for us. Bonne was expensive. I thought he’d work. I was badly wrong. You reckon Nevitt was cheap after scoring 16 last season or Nolan cheap after 27 goal involvements? Surely the issue comes down to recruitment, though again, people were saying how well we’d done in the summer until we saw some of these lads play. They don’t look an upgrade at all to me. Nolan in fact is definitely a downgrade on Mahoney.

Well...opinion Hess, Mahoney was no great shakes may have been the same problem for all we know....used to go missing regularly, Nolans no different, no worse, maybe not quite as much natural skill...but come on you gotta use it.

Mahoney had 13 goal involvements last season, despite being regularly used out of position. I’ll change my mind when Nolan gets close.
