Ill take your word on that but let's be honest he was a big disappointment. Nolan has 3 this season, likely its gonna be similar isnt it. Last season Nolan had 17 plus assists. If you play him right, if you play the team right! Hes gonna be involved.

So, the logic here seems to be that because we have invested previously and despite the fact that we still don't get goals from our so-called strikers, that's it.
Should we lose a fourth successive game next time out without troubling the opposition 'keeper I look forward to your ongoing confidence that nothing needs to be done in terms of our squad. If our players are good but just not performing at GFC let's test the water by trying to offload them and see what value others put on them.
I'm not advocating panic measures I'm simply suggesting we should still be looking around for better players. I don't believe the current squad will get us promoted, even if we get them all off the treatment table.

I just dont know the answer SW. Our players are surely no worse than any in the top ten, better than many, Armani Little for example. We know Nolan can be good, weve seen Clarke in good moments, we know Nevitt can finish. Ok if you look at Billy Sharp, Andy Cook, Jodi Jones you are talking different class. Are we to get that sort of player and if we did would it make a difference? The 3 that went up last season particularly Wrexham had good players. Then again Crawley had very little, perhaps one very good striker who didnt do much before. They had Wright who we rejected as not good enough and got Ogie instead...perhaps a mistake. But Crawley were coached personally and tactically by a good manager and he got them promoted with actually a very average squad. Lindsay had got rid of the lazy ones...we got some of them. So isnt it rather attitude, aptitude, committment and teamwork that you need rather than being necessarily a better quality player? So that would lead us to believe the conclusion is that our recruitment team has recruited badly. Well that wouldnt be a surprise would it? On the other hand 2 and possibly 3 managers have failed with a lot of them. That would lead us to believe the managers are at fault also. Perhaps we had two problems coinciding, suspect players, with suspect managers, a telling combination as we have seen.
So is this manager a failure also? Possibly, that's been my point. If he he isnt and he wants survive he has to get rid of the problem because some of the players weve just brought in are not bad at all and they will end up on the Gillingham rubbish heap like others when they shouldn't be. Weve seen Bonner act desperately in a couple of matches, at the end when trying to claw a match back, no real tactics just 6 playing forward and pump it up to them..not worked of course. Is he driven to it because of some the players he has letting him down, even ones he has brought in, or is he driven to it because hes a bad manager and he has nowhere else to go? None of us really know but it must eventually reveal itself, you cant help thinking it's still a deep problem within a club thats being run badly even after Scally..try to get someone on the phone, try to get any sense or answer from anyone inside the club, which Joe Comper is supposed to be running well...is he??? Are the Gallinsons also without any idea though possibly well meaning, possibly?? Or are they not bothered about people individually? It always starts behind, all roads lead to those in charge and I still dont think its right, atm we have Tory like infighting indirectly in public as Scally and Comper trade blows over whats been achieved in the fabric of the Stadium. Poor, not directly responsible for the team display now of course but this goes long and deep and the trouble of the old is still with us as a power struggle now goes on in utter selfishness. I dont know if this can be solved easily but until it is, the increased crowds and interest will disappear and I'll be with them because a background like that which is misfiring doesnt deserve any support.

We have tried to offload players, like Lapslie and Hawkins- the fact is we couldn’t and I assume their high salaries will be a large part of that.

Not posted much as I haven't seen many games this season. Think I've seen Doncaster, Notts County and Chesterfield, plus highlights for most of the games on German gills
Thought Saturday was really poor. But I wasn't shocked, there's a reason nobody plays 442 these days. It doesn't work.
Said all last season we were screaming out for pace. We've bought one quick player in Rowe, plus Wylie who I assume was supposed to be an impact sub. Rowe has been injured all season. So we still have no real threat in behind.
I'm not convinced by Nevitt Nolan has been a huge disappointment - can't blame the scouts, he looked terrific last season. But that was his first good season... He's still young Max Clarke still has no right foot, and that's the third time it's cost us a goal Ogie still has all the tools but no brain
I kinda like what I hear from Bonner, but he has work to do. If he's getting stuck into them like it appears... It will be interesting. That doesn't always work in this day and age. We'll see
