Well just seen Mark Bonners latest and he is still combative, in fact I've been waiting to hear it. 'Change or we ll change you' This is what I've been waiting to hear because enough is enough. If he means it, thats great but he has to be good enough himself tactically, so the jury's out on him and the owners have to back him if they mean business and of course if they do they have to back their manager.
Still we can't tell if its him or the players but hes calling some of them out and they have to be offloaded if they cant step up and we have to get some quality in and that means January. So nows the time for them to do it and continue to do it or go. He shouldnt have to do it if people did their jobs properly, if they fail and try to get shot of the manager like the last 2 then theres trouble. Who is it? Look at those he took off on saturday, Hutton, Clarke, Coleman? Maybe excuses for one or two of them. Who did he leave out from the beginning? Lapslie, and William's both of whom I've never trusted. Who would he have liked to have left out? Max Clarke, Ogie? So that's the whole back line virtually. Cant do much because of unavailability but this is for longer term. Maybe he has a point.. I'm going for a reaction against my better judgement and predicting a 0-1 for us but I could be so so wrong and then we start to have some very real problems after his ultimatum, modern selfish players could easily ignore him without so much as a tinge of conscience.

The jury is very much out on Bonner in my opinion too.
There are a whole host of players that I think they need to moved on in January ASAP because they have not met expectations or have been here too long and underachieved.
Johnny Williams..has never convinced anybody he is up for a league 2 grind.
Shad Ogie..headless chicken playing because of Hess and Jackett influence over recent managers.
Jayden Clarke...never convinced even though he score a few goals recently. Not league standard.
George Lapslie...think his attitude is poor and most fans happy to see him gone.
Ethan Coleman..this fella is nowhere near football league standard and has never shown he can influence games in midfield. Only a inept manager could seriously consider him every week. Bonner is going down in my estimation if he persists with selecting Ethan.
Max Ehmer stands out as player who needs moving on very quickly.
1.He has been here far too long during the dark periods of the last 5 seasons or so and yet he still in the team.
2.He lacks the character and natural leadership skills to be captain material and this is obvious to all fans during many games.
3. Max will never make the "Gills All Time Best Players List".
4. Max's lack of pace has been very much our defences achilles heel over the period he has been at the club.
5. Any team striving for success should not have a Max Ehmer in their starting lineup and the proof is evident beyond doubt.
Need I say anymore !!
Today's Prediction Bradford 1 Gills 0.

I'm not going to argue about the merits or otherwise of the players you mention but the fact remains that it's up front where we have failed so badly.
Yes, you can always point to the odd defensive error but generally speaking our defence has been adequate to decent. If our goalscoring had been at acceptable levels over the past four seasons I don't suppose we would be having this discussion at all. I don't believe there is anyone in the current squad who is up to the job of leading the line and if we are still reduced to bringing Hawkins on in a vain attempt to salvage a draw that shows the lack of goalscoring ability at Bonner's disposal. Gbode is absolutely not the answer either.
While on the subject of our playing strength or otherwise, if indeed it was Dack at the Chatham game in the esteemed company of our former chairman that's a PR faux pas of sizeable proportions. Like other Gills fans I'm getting more than a little hacked off with our permanent sick -noters and if Dack is knocking about with someone who is now in major conflict with the club I'd ask where his commitment to the club really lies.
On to today and it seems to me this is a really important game in our season. The run of defeats together with the Scally fallout is an unhappy coincidence. A strong on-field performance against Bradford is a chance for us to re-set our season and instil some confidence back into the fan base. Personally I don't think Bonner;s position is or should be in doubt - I can't say the same for some of the players.

Goodness me. Paranoia is taking over again. Why not just sack everyone who has even spoken to Mr Scally? Why not pull down all the stands, Factory and the main banquet hall. After all, who would want to sit in or use anything associated with him.
Get a grip.
And as for Swans outburst, I’m beginning to think he constructed his remarks in the Swansea asylum.

No GF you havent taken the comments in the way they were intended, mine anyway, I am a little concerned by the presence of Hess and Jackett in the club, I may be wrong but I would personally like them to leave. I haven't gone too much on their recruitment and I am not too sure of where their loyalty lies, as I said, I could be wrong but in any event I do expect them to leave in the not too distant future.

My only criticism with the Hess, Jackett thing is the seeming lack of accountability for Directors of Football - that’s at all clubs, not just ours. If they’re signing players who aren’t right, it’s the manager who gets the chop.
We are stuck with some expensive players who were signed to save us from relegation- Lapslie & Hawkins. Others, like Williams, haven’t lived up to their billing, contract length or salary. Having said that, unlike Swans, I cannot fault their work rate, only their output in a Gills shirt.

It's not paranoia at all; just an observation that when you're signed to an organisation it make little sense to be out and about with someone who is in the process of litigation against them. If I was imagining it you might have a case. Dack fas every right to go where he likes just as I nave every right to point out that he's not being very smart.
As to the recruitment team, our lack of success under their tenure makes it surprising they haven't been moved on. They certainly haven't been retained off the back of their performance and as you point out there is deadwood in the current squad.. Also I just don't understand how we can have signed off on Andrews.

I know its hindsight but Andrews seems to have been folly in the extreme, there is a lot of wasted money at the club imo. Poor housekeeping is the death knell for football clubs.

It will be interesting to learn how this lot behaved on the pitch after last weeks warnings, if he can't get a song out of them I fear for Bonner. Mind you the forwards cant do any worse than what's gone on last 3 matches plus.
