I really dont know where we go from here and I wouldnt be surprised if we lose on tuesday. Frankly I cant see anything other then Bonner on his way. Thing is who comes next and will they really spend on it instead of going second best all the time?

Yes it was away and yes we scored , but at the end of the day when you have more time with the ball than Bradford did, and yet only have 5 shots 3 on target ,compared to there 15 shots with 6 on target ,I am guessing that the result was about all you should expect. More injury's and now four losses in the last five , with Notts County coming on Tuesday ,opps Newport ,we could find ourselves five or six points back by the tie we play Swindon next weekend. Who do Gillingham always turn to in a time of crisis ,HHHHEEESSSSYYYYY where are you, haha ?

Two more goals gifted, Turner was so far off it, both Bradford goals were down to his errors and before the first goal he came for at least three other balls that he totally missed. Our goal was a great team goal, after we should have been 1 nil down but as soon as we scored we retreated and tried to sit on it. I like Bonner but something is clearly wrong, whether he’s lost the dressing room or he genuinely is out of his depth, I don’t know. Newport coming to Priestfield on Tuesday, coming off of 3 loses, who is going to want it more? From what I seen today it won’t be us.

When you’ve lost 3 in a row the last thing you need is calamitous goalkeeping. Turner absolutely awful first half. Has he been rushed back?? Really missed Little today. The run continues….

Turner in my book has never really convinced me he is a good goalkeeper and the Yorkshire defeat just highlighted his shortcoming 100% fit or not. Bonner made a bad call on not letting Ashby-Hammond play, potentially undermining his confidence and trust in the manager. Let's be brutally honest, he couldn't have been any worst than Turner who is a bang average keeper.Bonner will have to drop Jake for the Newport game to prove he is not contradicting himself with his recent rant about players that playing to acceptable levels will be cast aside.
Fulham will also be thinking they have loaned us a tidy keeper who is probably much better than Turner, yet has not been played when our only available keeper is rushed back and not 100%. They might take him back and loan him to a club that will give him a reasonable chance of playing.
The jury is very much out on Bonner and at the moment all the BS he coming out with is being thrown back in his fave and I do get the distinct feeling he is not very good at managing players and think there is some disharmony among the squad of players already.
Max Ehmer captain of Gillingham FC...what a @ucking joke. Never in a million years does he spur on the team, when he exits our club it will be a huge relief for me because he has only been here through the bad periods and he still plays. Absolutely crazy this fella is still at my club.
Drawing against Newport on Tuesday will be as good as it gets, I think.
I wish we still had Tom Nichols at the club to play of a big front man like Hawkins.
Bonner is 6 out 10 rating for me and declining.

Honestly, I don't think removing Bonner is likely to improve matters. We've had four recent managers, none of whom has been able to produce a consistent, coherent team from the squad of players at their disposal.
I think recruitment has lacked any kind of focus or plan as to what type of game we want tp play and which players, irrespective of their individual skills, can form an effective working unit. Our acquisitions seem to have been random, opportunistic, sometimes panic stricken and even ill-researched as in the case of Andrews and Hawkins.
Above all it's our lack of firepower that has not been properly resolved. Gbode and Hawkins ?? Really ?

How much say does Bonner have on signings? Hess/Jackett to me are the problem. What I would say is if you looked at the fan forums for the like of Mansfield/Accrington/Crewe they were all gutted when they lost the likes of Lapslie/Hawkins/Nolan and Nevitt. Yet when they come to Gillingham they do absolutely nothing.

Summerwell....that is why we must get rid of hess and jackett who are kinda playing football manager with their influence on transfers. The remmenace of the "Scally Clan" who brought in the inconsistent Ogie and ultra defensive backward passing Coleman with their Leyton Orient connections. Both players were never going to get proper game time at the East London club.
One is a "Headless Chicken" and other one has never been able to influence a game and why he was loaned out to Bromley.
Bonner needs to move these 2 players out for a start, both are passengers and nowhere near good enough if we are serious about promotion this season. Both are no better than Ebbsfleet or Maidstone Utd standard.
The faith with his management of players is questionable to say the least at the moment.
Bonner said "shape up or ship out".
That must mean Ashby Hammond plays this Tuesday without doubt after Turner's howlers, Jake is on borrowed time at the club too and Morris without doubt the club's no.1.
If we got promoted then bringing back Jamie Cummings to the club would be awesome.
I am "Mystic Meg" when it comes to manager's being moved on from Gillingham through their ineptitude. After the honeymoon period Bonner is going the same way as Harris and Clemence at the moment.

Once again were not scoring goals, 12 games and a total of 14 goals scored, thank goodness for the defense or we would really be in trouble. I don't think the manager is the real problem , I think you need to look at the top of the pyramid. We have BEAN COUNTERS for owners, who have set a number for running the club and what ever that number is they are not going to put there hands in there pockets and bring in the players we need to get promoted. We bring in Freebies, there is normally a pretty good reason a club lets a player walk, and it is not because he is a major player in there push for success. I think we should remember that Gillingham Football Club, are the owners "play thing" ,they don't have any loyalty to GFC, it's just a business ,something at a cocktail party they can say they own. They never stood in the stands back in the old days in the rain and cold ,never bought a program for a few pence and read every damn word of it waiting for the game to start ,then begging the Footie Gods to keep us up in the Third Division the year Basil Hayward was sacked, and the Gods let us down and we went the sane way, down into the Forth Division. I would love someone ,anyone to ask the owners WHY they bought Gillingham Football Club, have they ever said why ?

You can't face the truth, name me a player we have bought,as in paid a fee for in the last 12 months.Everyone on this site knows that no team with the exception of one year in the last 7 or 8 years has ever been promoted without scoring at least 60 goals, were on track to score somewhere in the low 50's,just like last year, and the teams all around us are scoring goals way more than us,and you don't think the Gills should have spent money before the season started to buy at least one more 12 or 15 goal scoring forward ? . Whats the chances of getting one at Christmas,no one in the top half of any of the four divisions is going to be letting a goal scorer go . Were looking at Clarke scoring around 12 or 14 goals, Little and McKenzie 8 or 10 each on the rate they have scored in the first 12 games ,so there are 28 on the season, tell me where we are going to find the other 30 plus goals were going to need to get promoted ?

We paid a fee for Andrews. We paid a fee for Nolan. We paid a fee for Hutton. We paid a fee for Wyllie. Other than that, you’re factually totally accurate!
