Because he had those on the pitch who rescued him, the season was cut short during covid and he was very fortunate. He survived in League One by the seat of his pants and then he got the boot. He is not proven jus lucky as he was up to September. But you can defend him Hess as you did Harris until we re in 20th position if you want. I wont. You can’t be “lucky” to win promotion. As for Harris, 10th in the championship. The idiots hounded him out. Wonder where we’d be now if they hadn’t? Don’t worry Hess, donut wants Ainsworth or Woodman. Woodman has done nothing at this level and Ainsworth got Wycombe up (so no better than MB) and then got sacked by QPR. You can’t reason with this clown.

As for Harris...give me strength.

You can’t possibly want Woodman- he’s unproven at this level and you specifically want a proven manager?

Maybe 3. Since then we continue the same form, my opinion is the same and i state it. I don't tell you to stop stating yours, though I think it has holes in it and go and get a beer. It IS about opinions and you clearly dont like another.

I am so happy we don't need to spend money buying a proven goal scoring forward from a First or Championship team, what we have at the moment will certainly be good enough to keep us in a solid 10th or 11th position in Division Two.

Clown college is in session. How much do you think it would cost to buy a proven Championship striker? The wages alone would be as much as our 10 best players earn, let alone the fee.

Forget about Woodman....never been convinced he is that good a manager.
Bonner's true ability or lack of it has been exposed. Talking well in front of the media is one thing, gettings results is another.
MB does not have the ability to get consistency, results and continuity among the group of players at his disposal.
Not being able to win at Swindon who were a man short is criminal in the current predicament that we find ourselves in.
Turner in goal does not give our shakey defence much belief.
Like Donut said we need a few hard nuts in our team, like a Vinny Jones or Dennis Wise character who can roust the team.
We are way to passive, lack the drive and determination to overcome adversity, carrying to much deadwood which are the some players and 2 certain staff, who have welland truly overstayed their welcome, as follows :
Turner Ehmer Coleman J Williams Lapslie...borderline..depending on the next boss. Ogie Hessenthaler Jackett and Bonner himself is out of his depth when under pressure.
I am already looking at who our next boss will be.
I have never been wrong about managers at our club.

Ehmer...experienced player, no leadership skills, how many seasons he has been here ? and achieved nothing leading the Gillingham.
Every passing game with him being captain means our chances of success is zero.
I can see it can the manager's ?
Obviously not !!!!

On reflection I believe yesterday's 'performance'; was our worst for some time. We actually managed to be second-best to ten men of a very average side. Also we confirmed that Hawkins is quite a remarkable character in that he manages to miss the easiest of chances almost every time he plays. Bearing in mind he is so slow he rarely gets in a position to score it's quite an achievement. Playing him is a measure of how poor our so-called strike force is.
No goalscorer of any note, no creative midfielder, no leader on the pitch. How you can leave not one but two players entirely unmarked in your own six yard box while defending a single goal lead is a mystery.
I don't share the view that Bonner should go, primarily because I don't believe this group of players is ever going to perform to a promotion chasing level, irrespective of who is in charge. If they are genuinely playing to their potential then Hess and Jackett should be summarily sacked. How much budget that would free up is a matter of conjecture but all the time they continue to be employed it's a question mark over the Galinsons' credibility.

Again, you’re expecting someone in the league above with a proven record to drop down a division to join us and you expect us to have the budget to make that happen? Utterly unrealistic

But it happened in at least one instance when Brad came in. If we dont have the ability to compete at league one level then just say so, then we know where we re going and what to expect. Do you know you cant even contact the club atm, its utterly unprofessional and doesnt auger well. If thats what people want so be it.
