I'm getting the impression that we were instructed to play like we did 2nd half v swindon...that's Bonner. The players were all over the place in the final few minutes, we had several in the area and no one was marking Smith and the spare boy beside him. It was shocking defending. Why? Players like Gbode and Wyllie being benched after their performance last tuesday, why? That's Bonner. He has made baffling decisions many times, meaning he s all over the place. The players are not giving enough and they dont have any certainty in their performance, why? It's on Bonner, it always is. If he cant get this squad performing it's down to him, ultimately he ll have to go. Players may also have to go I admit. Recruitment also. But Bonner should be doing better, he isnt.

If Brad thinks its injuries only and its gonna come right, I dont buy it. Bonner has lost the players there is no other answer...there are always exceptions in players who have their own dignity, but the squad has not reacted to his motivations...its over, just like Clemence was over. It's going one way....it will and should end with Bonners demise before January, whatever Swans Sanity may be.

Gbode was benched because he’s rubbish. He’s had something like 20 senior games, no goals, no assists after loan spells at Aveley and Maidstone where he failed to score. Wyllie I understand wasn’t 100% after Tuesday and let’s face it, Wakeling did well and set the goal up.
You’re still yet to answer why another manager would get more from this lot when 3 managers have failed to?

Steve Evans would get this team playing better and achieving better results..never in a million years would we lose against Crewe, Grimsby, Accrington, Newport and drawing with drawing with Swindon.
It's the manner of the way we lose and game management that is so disappointing.
The discussion about replacing Bonner is very much on the cards.
If we lose the next 2-4 games, do you honestly think it's just a matter of time before our fortunes turn ? By then the season will be a uphill struggle.
The next 2-5 games will determine Bonner's future.
I don't have much faith in a manager who only got a team promoted during Covid.
I got us promoted to Championship level in two seasons, on "Championship Manager" on my PC is a bigger achievement.

Swans888, the reason I thought you’d been locked up is a few weeks ago for the good of this site it was suggested the we put the Scally saga behind us and concentrate on the future of the club.
But lo and behold, you obviously have escaped and started posting your normal abuse of certain players and character assassination.
But don’t worry there is medication available.
All in jest, nothing personal.

It's called "home truths", something that is not in your vocabulary, obviously...its the best medicine you can take.
You should try some soon and see the difference.

But Swans has provided some answers tonight if you look, despite his madness.

We are still ‘on the cheap’. No other club wanted Dack - what does that tell you ? We won’t see him play. Andrews had known injury issues and Rowe has played only seventy games in five seasons. No club would have signed these three - so their is bad advice coming from somewhere. When we talk about injury crisis, there isn’t one - it’s only these three players that all had issues before they arrived. McKenzie, Lapslie and Nevitt have all taken nocks in games - that happens and it’s why we’ve got a squad.

If everyone was saying the 'same old thing' we'd all be in agreement and I don't see much sign of that. I think we all share a sense of disappointment and to the extent that what we are seeing on the pitch is depressingly familiar it might seem like going back in time.
However, we do have new owners and a much better relationship between the club and the fans. I, for one, tend to believe what I hear from the Galinsons so my opinions about the state of the club are not tainted by the cynicism of the previous regime. I don't believe we should sack the manager primarily because I don't believe the current squad of players is underperforming . I just don't think they are anything more than average collectively, so a change in manager would be pointless, disruptive and probably expensive.
