I hopefully we can do ok this season, but slightly worried by the last 3 pre season friendly results, maybe the boys have one eye on mk dons match this coming weekend,
I still think we are a bit short on quality at the back, doug loft, Brennan Dickenson and jermaine macglashan look good, but a quality signing or two in the doug loft calibre would do nicely.
Making the playoffs , asking to much ??
I will reserve judgement and see the early signs before making my prediction for this coming season.
Up the gills !!!

I will make my forecast after te first 6 games. For a promotion chance I would be looking for 3 or 4 wins, a tie and only 1 defeat in the first 6. In PT we trust....

Again, it's about staying up. If we can manage that and play better football, that's a great season, especially with younger players getting experience.
I'm actually worried about goals. Cody as lost his mate and despite the love for Kedwell, he's never done it with Cody

Staying with my prediction of 12th, but agree scoring could be a big issue with what seems to be no natural front pairing. I think with the midfield we have we should go 5 across the middle and let the youngsters loose at the the opposition right and left backs to get crosses in for the lone striker and attacking midfielders; will at least be exciting and worth a try. Will Also tighten things up defensively.

I must admit Cody is my favourite player but if he plays with keds then I not sure they are good together, there is not that understanding like with bayo, I am not a keds fan and Cody must play ahead of him every time in my eyes,

Agree swansgills, but Cody needs service or somebody to play off, but at present we are not giving him either. I go 451 at mk and see how he gets on, but if not on it then keds did start last season well as the main striker and caused problems in the box, of course as long as he stays there and doesn't keep tracking back.

60 points would be a good target...

I expect mid table but would be delighted with higher position. What I really want is to see exciting football with interesting moves and some well thought out set pieces which should be one of the best opportunities to score goals.

Wouldn't be disappointed with that style of play.

The bookies are not giving us a chance because we are 40-1 and more in various establishments, we need to be like Leyton orient or brentford from last season, is that asking too much ??
Hessigod.... Must admit I'm disappointed in your acceptance of its about staying up and playing better football is a considered a great season, you must be easy to please !!
We need to be progressing from last season, the brentford and orient model is what we need to work on, last season bayo and Cody were the main reason we stayed up and we were carrying far too many players like Barrett, lee and Martin ( examples ), some of those players are still at the club and hopefully they will be gone in time like Gregory , lingazi and Barrett ,
Early season results will paramount and tell us if we need to invest in players or we should be happy to make up the numbers in this division or even move Taylor on ,

Swansgills, I'm being realistic. Our budget is smallish and there are some big clubs in this league. Sheff Utd should walk it and there are the likes of Coventry, Preston, Bradford, Doncaster, Bristol City and Barnsley who will have a budget that is substantially bigger than ours. I believe Taylor has brought very well, but it's not often that a virtually whole new side just gels. I also still think we're a bit short in at full back on both sides and need a winger and another striker to give the squad the required depth. I'd of course be delighted if we challenged for the playoffs, but I'm more interested in us building for the longer term with quality younger players (like PT is doing) than craving instant success. If I wanted that, I'd go support Chelsea like the other muppets

I think we need to give this squad time, at least until late September before pushing any panic buttons. I remember PT's last time here. We hardly won a game before October, then went on to win the play off final. That will be harder this time, with a new squad, but a comfortable top half finish will show we are making progress. As I have said before it took Tony Pulis three seasons to make the play offs, so let's give the management time to make it work.
