Just seen a report on BBC that Taylor has gone - lets hope a new Manager is in the wings!

There will be plenty of people who will be delighted. Personally, I'm disgusted. Scally has always given managers time in the past and he's started to revert to the behaviour of the worst chairmen. We'll simply go back to where we've been. The chairman needs to take a long hard look at himself in my view.

I agree - I dont know whether Taylor fell on his sword but the statement says : "relieved of his duties with immediate effect" which would imply a sacking - back to Hess for a while then!

Paul Scally does it every time, full of praise, what a lovely manager, man to work with etc. Then the manager has gone. Peter Taylor did not do any better than MA in Div1 and had a couple more months. Different approach, younger players, same result, praise from chairman 1 minute, then the sack. I see a pattern

Surprised ,but yes I am very happy! Disgusted you are having a laugh I am surprised he has lasted this long! Scally must have someone else lined up already for this to happen now! Peter Taylor will go back into the media where he is extremely adept!
Now our club can hopefully move forward but for that to happen I think our chairman also needs to evaluate his situation and realise his standing over the last few years has fallen immeasurably especially since he has moved to Dubai!

Not what i wanted - would have liked see him finish what he started but guess it was on the cards
Leaving Hess in charge is a flippin disaster though. Hope there's a quick replacement lined up

I have to give Mr Scally my total respect, but at the end of the day the chairman knows this is a results business.and we were certainly on a slippery road..
Didn't agree with the Martin Allen sacking, as like some above with Taylor i feel Allen should of been giving longer to turn things around, but it appears there was more to the sacking..
But at last we move on..

But at last we move on.. Yes, maybe there was more to the sacking, exactly what was said after the MA sacking, and nobody outside of that room knows what exactly was said as there was a confidentiality agreement, which could even lead to MA coming back. I doubt it but crazy things happen in football. Who next, will the youth policy continue, bearing in mind there are several loan players in that bracket.

You have hit the nail on the head ,Peter Taylor may have been a poor manager but it was Mr Scally who employed him and he is to blame for the poor demeanour of the club! A move to remove the stain of racism against our club could soon be on the cards, the way that issue was dealt with was abhorrent. I hear Ian Wrights in the betting to take charge what a coup that would be ! He is my favourite striker of all time along with David Shearer so that would be a dream for me!

Well I for one am really glad that Scally has seen sense and got rid. I know the posters on here have been divided on whether he should go, but its done now , so hopefully the chairman will pick someone with whom has got a bit more tactical savvy. I honestly thought that the only thing that has kept him in a job, has been because we've done so well in the JPT, but once we got stuffed by Bristol City Scally realized that we haven't got much chance of beating them in the final ,so bang goes the chance of a Wembley appearance and the money that goes with it. Just as a side issue, I wonder if Kedwells supposedly falling out with him ,has got anything to do with it, as supposedly it did with MA

If Hess gets us to Wembley and a couple of league wins will be difficult not to consider Heady. With the window opening my guess would be Ready for the rest of the season unless someone comes in quickly

Just as a side issue, I wonder if Kedwells supposedly falling out with him ,has got anything to do with it, as supposedly it did with MA I thought the same earlier, ollybeak. Wonder if some of the conversation involved moving on some of the underperforming seniors? It would be a shame to think that Kedwell is bigger than the club, but it wouldn't surprise me at all.
