What really worries me now is with PT we did get some decent loan signings from bigger clubs (prem & champ) where as historically we have gone to div1/2 and conference. I guess we will be back there and if players like doughty don't resign and we revert to lower league then I guess we now what their parent clubs think of us as a club! Good point, muppet, not to mention the fact that we need John Egan to sign a contract extension. Will he do so without the man who brought him to the club? The reports from within the club suggested that PT hasn't been popular with the experienced players, but the younger lads have regarded him as an excellent coach. I wonder what they make of it

holy sh1t WTF, not been near a tv or online all day so only just read taylor gone, i am massively surprised by the timing, please don't give hess the job until summer, talk about a backward step if that happens, quite shocked by this decision regardless of calling for it, i didn't think PS would.

Again same old same old the experienced players seems to be dominating many clubs. That is not right.

Says it all Hess, making the old guard nervous and worried for their pay cheques was never gonna be easy, but as a manager looking forward it needed to be done. John Egan is a big worry as we need to get him on a 3 year deal now or face losing an exceptional player. Don't think him going in the window was an issue? , sorry New Year's Eve beers already filtering through!!

Great news. Best day of the year for me, mind you with the sort of year I've had that isn't too difficult.
As for all those who keep on about what a great coach PT is (or was) I would be interested to know where exactly you thought that his coaching reflected in the actual play. Was it: 1. The great way in which the keeper belts the ball as far and as high as he can even if we are kicking into a strong wind? 2. Is it the invention and variety shown at corners where every corner is kicked long into the box? 3. Is it the invention shown at free kicks where anything to far away from a direct shot at goal is also belted long into the box? 4. Perhaps you are thinking of throw ins? Always taken by the same man depending on what side of the pitch and always thrown down the line hoping that Keds, Norris or even the giant Cody get their head on it. 5. It may be that you believe that the movement of players and invention seen at free kicks within shooting distance reflects PTs talent as a coach? Apart from the very occasional special effort 99% of free kicks within sight of goal are blasted into the wall or way over the bar. Certainly there was no coaching input whatsoever. 6. Perhaps it was the super fitness of the players with hardly any injuries and all able to perform at 100% for 90+ minutes?
The only thing that reflects favourably on PT to my mind is the potential of many of his signings. However one has to ask if these are players that he identified personally or if they are players spotted by Hess when he was spotting for Burnley last year.

Bert? I think we've seen better set plays this season than we have in years. Strange how we all watch the same games but see them so differently.

Gonna get interesting later then after we have all had a few, that being said no doubt in the early hours! Also I apologise now as at the best of times my typing is awful and after a dozen only those of you with the ability to read hieroglyphics will stand a chance.
