Dropping Cody had the desired effect and from reading the local press at the time Cody acknowledged that. As to legge needs to be dropped every so often as it refocuses him, he has 6/8 good games and then poor , gets dropped and comes back good again. Seen this cycle since he came. As to you other point 888, short sighted view, you had to wait and couldn't, instant success won't happen at gills!

You believe everything you read in the press Cody only said that because saying anything else would have caused a rift. Players want to play each and every week and taylor played dickenson and Norris and it was never convincing with them 2 upfront and still is the case now and now cody has proved beyond doubt that taylor got it wrong. Legge is a senior player and the treatment by Taylor was poor to say the least. I spoke to karl elseys cousin down here in swansea and he said the manager was a joke and the way taylor blamed players for.their mistakes and.going on about 1st and 2nd phase was laughable because at.the end.of.the day the buck stops with the manager. The way a team plays and set up is reflected and instilled by the manager. Chelsea.... very organised and know how to win. West Bromwich..... pulis in charge well drilled and.organised and staying up in the premiership and difficult to play against. We all know how.good pulis is. Birmingham... going nowhere then gary rowett comes in and what a transformation. Burton Albion and under jimmy Floyd hasselbaink carries.on from gary rowett well drilled and organised and know how to win games like Shrewsbury too. Gillingham under Taylor ... far too inconsistent always conceding goals and at crucial times, not organised, sloppy, strange tactics, players played out of position and the list goes on. Do you want him in charge of.your team

Legge needs to be got rid of frankly. Has never been consistent enough to justify his high salary. As for 888, the stats show we were improving. You can rant on all you like- football is about results and they had got better, not least with 2 away wins on the bounce

I know legge needed to be moved on but he saved taylor from the chop with some very crucial goals. Taylor played him because we had nobody at the time and only circumstances made that happen, fans had been on the wane already about our boss.

Only a minority who didn't give him a chance from the day he was appointed

We all know we won 2 away games but the outlook was bleak under Taylor. I went to the colchester game and left there thinking how lucky we were. The tipping point was the Bristol defeat and the manor of how they beat us and gulf in class was embrassing, the exit door for Taylor was already ajar for a while in my view and then 5000 gills fans and chairman helped him through that door.

And the gulf in budget between us and Bristol is embarrassing. If you expect us to compete with them, you're not in the real world. Before that 1 loss in 7

Taylor had his chance and messed up and now he can watch all the youngsters play and try and convince a non league chairman he can make them decent in 3 to 4 season.
Dont think there will be many chairman out there with the word mug on their forehead.

The reality is not 1 defeat in 7 games but the general consenus overall was we were heading nowhere under Taylor.

You keep on about this "general consensus." There is no evidence at all of that on this board. I'd suggest under 50% of the fans on this board weren't supportive. Even in the stands, there were some who weren't supportive, but again, a minority

Deep down it was going pear shaped...and if Taylor stayed any longer it would have been double pear shaped.
Fans don't vent their feelings unless something is not right and the bad feeling towards taylor has been there for a while. Have you listened to his post match comments after losing games ?? It's painful listening to him and I sense the air of arrogance from his interview and the way he dis associates himself from all blame. Poor man management !!

But not many fans were venting their feelings, were they? Where were the "Taylor out" chants at games? Oh yeah, they weren't there. What we had was a few vile people in the Medway stand who thought it acceptable to direct personal abuse at our management team. No doubt, the same people who have done the same to several of our other managers

Agree with that Hess, not sure exactly where you sit 888, but there was no real vocal support to get rid of PT. Usual small loud minority, with the quiet masses happy to at least give it a chance. Whilst it was work in progress a big percentage were willing to give if a chance and as to a 3/4 year plan by PT you know as well as all of us that 2 was his maximum as his contract runs out.

We could get mourinho in to replace taylor but even he would struggle with the crap players we have I disagree about crap players , we have some excellent players like Egan, Cody and Nelson at his best and young Dack not far behind and surely Loft is better than what we have seen, Martin excellent going forward but a defensively dodgy and Hoyte is a good all round defender! We need two good team players, leaders, one in defence and a certainty in midfield, we lack direction, good leadership is all we need, on and off the pitch!!

Thank god ! Can u imagine giving Taylor 3/4 year deal. I think most of us would be on valium full time with his so called brand of football. His second spell has been uninspiring and at least he can do the non league circuit which he can take dickenson. Norris. German. Pritchard and macglashan with him to Canvey Island or maybe Chatham town.
