Shame as a win would have put us within a point of 6th, but we remain undefeated at least in a game I wouldn't have been surprised to have seen us lost. It's a shame to see criticism of individual players back on this board though. It's been refreshing without it. I just hope we don't get another 5 threads saying the same thing about the same players.......

Point of order, Mr Chairman! TJ's boot should remember this is a Gills site that has to mention other teams at times - transfers, loan signings, memories of Wembley vs Man City etc etc. I myself acknowledged this is not a place to talk about my other club but feel I do not need to take advice from TJ's boot. COYG What drivel you come out with I will be discussing over lunch with Mr Atkinson tomorrow!

We played poorly in the first half...blah blah blah. I feel sorry for you. You must have been really frustrated during the last few games with nothing to moan about. How your heart must have leapt for joy when Yeovil scored their last-gasp penalty. Finally, something to bang on and on and on about.

We are getting where I want us to be and not far off being a decent enough side but last post is true and certain players are being carried by the rest and there is definitely room for improvement still , but the question is whether Edinburgh will do it now or just let this season pass ?? I do think we should make a concerted effort to make playoffs but there are much better players around than Jake hess and doug loft, don't let andy hess frighten you into playing young hess because he has been poor all season. So frustrating to concede a penalty so late in the day to. Just got back home.

Young Hess poor all season, maybe in some games but he has played well in others, as for Loft it's frustrating as he is a good player but he has failed to excel in our Captain role, but they are certainly not poor players! As for your constant critism of Hoyte my Welsh friend have you watched him perform well in our unbeaten run, the penalty against MK was not a penalty although I understand it was a nailed on penalty today!Yes our squad may need a couple of experienced players but the first eleven has generally played excellently in the last few weeks!

I can't wait to see the highlights, from some i hear it was a pen, yet JE after the game was critical of the ref and insistent it was no way a pen, i shall give my view once seen

Ok so i have seen the goals and have to say, is the ref on crack, the pen, i mean WTF, there player went through the back of Hoyte and was a free kick to us all day long, i can't even envisage how the pen decision came about, its 1000000000000000000000% never a pen, i am sorry but this just highlights why ref's do need to be punished for stupid, reckless decisions.

Jolly....I'm not Welsh born in Essex lived in Wigmore area for a long time and moved to south wales. I'm of chinese origin.
Yes, we have been on a fine run lately, but there is certainly plenty of room for improvement. This is where Edinburgh gets paid to make decisions on players who have been carried so far this season, ball retention is still something we need to work on, there was plenty of mistakes and giving away the ball cheaply which almost resulted in a goal for the opposition. yes, it's been good lately, but young hess and loft have generally been very disappointing this season and I can definitely see us improving further still. If we are serious about playoffs then decisions on players like hoyte, pritchard, galbraith and the 2 mentioned need to dealt with.
I am so sure we can kick on but will Edinburgh be strong enough to drop certain players who have not proved up to the standard required to make us a real threat to the top 6.
In football you are always looking to improve your squad constantly. The minute you stop looking is when you let your standards drop. Loyalty goes only so far, so take note the players mentioned above because I know we can be a even better side with a few extra faces to push us into the playoffs. Any fans thinking we are a season to early is talking nonsense. We pay good money to watch our team and if the gills show more ambition still , I'm sure the fans will follow suit and turn up in bigger numbers, let's be honest young hess is no better than a league 2 player if that, probably he should be with keds at ebbsfleet and loft who I had high hopes for, but he is proving to be a poor captain and his displays have been generally poor and his temperament questionable.
I was right about Taylor very early on and believe me im happy now we have moved forward and progressed recently but the is still plenty of room to make our midfield even stronger and better, the question is will our new boss act quickly or carry on showing loyalty to the current midfielders who are not at the races, Dack is a country mile ahead of anyone else in midfield and macglashan is proving good too, the rest are weak minded and if we resolve that issue, we have the makings of a top side and the issue of the right back slot needs looking at then we are a top 6 side easily in my mind.
Up the gills.
