I'm not a luke Norris fan because long term I don't believe he is good enough for the first team but credit to him on Saturday with his goal. He has plenty of chances to prove himself. It's my opinion that he is not a regular scorer and that view won't change at the moment . I have watched 70 % of games this season and most of them under Taylor have been painful. We all thoughttaylor would prove to be good second time around but unfortunately this season proved we were going backwards and the general concensus was that he needed to be moved on. I honestly thought hoyte could be a good player for us , but the more I watched him play, I could see he was a weak link, I quiet sure Edinburgh has picked up on that, ehmer has got better as the season has progressed and I know pritchard because of kuqi and been told he is quiet lazy , I just think there are better players than him around but choice rests with our boss. I honestly thought loft would be very good for us but for some reason he has struggled to make a real impression and Jake hess has definitely had a poor season and there is not getting away from that fact.
Being a football fans we all want to improve our squad with better players, managers are always on the lookout because sometimes players have gone as far as the can with their clubs like keds, Martin and the few others that I have mentioned. Who know what lies ahead but at the moment there certainly room to improve and Edinburgh will change some personnel when he feels a change is needed.

I didn't say I didn't like him because I never seen him play. I want to see him play and give.him a chance. I remember him playing for millwall, then sent on loan to Cheltenham and Northampton where is did not score on a regular basis, but knew he was a workhorse and he has proved to be a very good loan signing for us, whether he stays is up to him and our chairman's finances and also will he find championship football more tempting ? That's if we don't go up this season. We have a good chance of making playoffs on current form but truly believe we need to improve the midfield but unless our boss brings any new faces, that's his decision or just show loyalty to the bunch we have now ? Edinburgh is paid to make these decisions that could make our season so much better, but that's my opinion.
I'm sure whatever our managers thinks, it's in our interests.

Luke Norris not a regular scorer he has 5 for us so far granted one is a penalty.Even if you take that off him 4 in 1131 minutes take that over a full season playing 90 minutes regularly he would have about 14 goals in his first full season!!!I know Cody (about 7 years older) will score more and Marquis would be a even higher rate at the moment for Gills.I also know that past performance doesn't mean much as far as the future concerned. But Luke Norris can and will score a lot of goals during his career I for one am pleased to have him at our club and I hope that he is around long enough to score many of them for Gills.Norris is doing a great job for our club and may well finish the season in double figures.

Oh come on 888. Why not answer the points made? You wanted Taylor as manager- you then spend months calling him an idiot. Were you wrong to want him? You want Hoyte to play: you said on 11th jan "Hoyte is quite good" now you think he's rubbish. Were you wrong? Ehmer "I wouldn't have anywhere near my back line" Were you wrong? You slated Mcglashan. Were you wrong? Loft "a certain starter" were you wrong? Luke Norris belongs at Canvey Island. "Norris is hopeless" Were you wrong? I could go on, but just answer those specific points

WE certainly DID NOT ALL think that Taylor would be good for Gills second time around. Please do not express your own opinions as being those of everyone.

As it is Lent I have decided to give up reading anything either written or as a reply to 888, a so called "supporter" of Gills!!! Many people have suggested in the past that we should not give this person oxygen to his posts and I firmly believe that this would be the best way of handling his idiotic posts which as many have noticed often contradict themselves.

Everyone is entitled to change their opinion about a player or a manager. Yes I thought taylor might do a job second time around , he come in after allens exit and did ok and kept us up without really pulling up any trees. This season under Taylor it was more of the same and loads of aspects of our game was the same as the previous season under him, defensively we were a nightmare and I had a feeling that taylor was losing the players and his post match comments made my mind up that he was coming to the end of his tenure with us.
Ehmer has improved the more games he gas played. He has kicked on since taylor has left.
Hoyte was quite good when I saw him play earlier in the season but I have noticed he is a weak link in our right back position and I'm sure Edinburgh will knows that and if he addresses that is anot her question.
I honestly thought Jake hess would prove to be a very good midfielder and progress this season but so far he has disappointed more often than not And I don't care what anyone else thinks. Personally, I would have him in my team, but edinburgh is the manager and I know we are playing well now and he won't change it until end of the season, so that's something for him to ponder, but can't help feeling because andy hess is our assistant, so if Jake is not performing very well does our new boss stick with him or do what's right and find a better player in his position next season. There is no getting away from the fact that Jake has been playing below average for most of this season.

So, 888, you're agreeing that your judgement is generally poor then?

I believe my judgement is right. Opinions can change during a the course of the season. Under Taylor far too many players were under performing and once he was removed the cloud over the gills was lifted and the rest is history. I'm sure our new boss has targets regarding players and even though it's great at the moment I'm sure some will be gone at the end of the season. I'm entitled to my opinion and still don't believe Norris will be a success or a first team regular, back up striker maybe, I don't mind being wrong he he could well be decent, but I don't think he will be ahead of marquis and cody.
I think we could make the playoffs and I wouldn't bet against us winning it because we are rather good at them.
