We're getting absolutely nothing out of it. Get November out of the way and we'll hopefully have a fit squad

Nobody gave us a chance, myself included as above. We needed that. Good Harrisesque performance

Credit where it’s due. Bonner got the tactics spot on today and made a very good opposition look very average at best. Defence looked strong and everyone put in a decent shift. Nice to see us play with some width again and if we had a good in the box forward then we should have scored more as some decent crosses were put in. Quick enough to criticise on occasions, so a big well done to all today.

Good Harrisesque performance Indeed, its a welcome win for sure, far from convincing against a poor Vale side on the day with half of their midfield out but nevertheless welcome. Moonlight made a good comment on the other thread though, a lot of water to flow yet.

A win is a win is a win however they got it, a welcome three points after not having a win since the end of September. I find hard to understand how two teams can play for 90 minutes and neither keeper had to make one single save for the entire game. Maybe we need to signee a forward or two in the New Year ?

Poor side?! We lost by far our best midfielder early on in Little and have another 1/2 of our so called better players out injured, so our very poor side made their poor side look very average. On that basis a great result then by our poor side?!

Vale have won 5 in a row and we made them look bang average today. Neither team really looked like scoring but thought we looked the better side. More attacking substitution's from bonner and two upfront. With a few lucky breaks I think Wylie/Wakeling with all their energy could be a threat upfront. Andrew’s brings something very different but when/if fit a welcome option.

Agree, a long way to - we’re 15 games in. We are only 4 off 2nd though, despite that hideous run. That’s why it was always too early to write Bonner off.

I really do hope you re right hess, really, I will take no joy in being right but if bonner stays they gave GOT to get decent quality in all areas in January, if not, it wont be good enough. On the Vale site they re saying quite rightly that we are crap but that they are also crap. Moore thinks they dominated, not sure that was right??.

A great 3 points from a very poor game of football. I'm trying to remember the last game where we actually entertained the faithful - I guess the 4 goal win, which seems like a long time ago now. We shouldn't be too critical after beating the top side but equally there's nothing in today's performance to suggest promotion is likely.
